Our Story
Beyond Borders Club started with two guys, a drink, and a simple idea.
Manny, a Manila local, and Touré, an American expat, met through Couchsurfing in 2025. Over that first conversation, they realized something: the connections you make over a meal or a drink are what turn a city into a home.
They decided to do it again. And again. What started as two friends grabbing tacos turned into a gathering. That gathering became a community, one where locals, digital nomads, and travelers could show up as strangers and leave as friends.
No matter where you're from or what passport you carry, there's always a seat at our table. Because the best stories don't happen at landmarks. They happen between the borders, with the people you meet along the way.

The Spark: Taco Tuesday
Tekila, BGC | October 2025
Two guys and a group of strangers walked into a taco spot. By the end of the night, fueled by margaritas and good conversation, Beyond Borders Club had a name and a mission.
The Fusion: Turkey & Tacos
Mamacita BGC | November 2025
Thanksgiving went international. We brought together Texas turkey and Mexican tacos in the heart of Manila, proving that the best traditions are the ones you create together.
Little Tokyo & Night Out
Makati | December 2025
We closed out the year with legendary Japanese food in Little Tokyo, then took the energy to the dance floor at +81 Bar & Buccaneers. A night that reminded us why we started this in the first place.

Beyond Borders Club's January meetup connected Manila's diverse international community through curated food, drinks, and nightlife at La Chinesca and Uma Nota. Another successful month of building genuine friendships one table at a time.
